                       WHO AM I ???

I always ponder on who am I as a person. But I often fail to get an answer because I don't spend time with myself. Now the time has come to spend time with myself and think for a while on who am I ...........

I am a boring person who does nothing interesting except the daily routine. I study very nice but only the one in the textbook. I don't care to learn something different or something out of the box. This is the reason 2 of my friends always call me 'inbox.'

But on the other hand I am a perfectionist. I will be very determined to any responsibility I take and I will not sleep until I complete it  to its full fledged. I like accepting challenges and I try my best to fulfil them. I am a short tempered girl but I am clean at my heart. I like being friendly with people around me and I don't believe in enmities ( the only exception for this is me elder sister who always fights and irritates me). I am not very expressive as I hide all my feelings inside. Finally to conclude, I can't judge myself as either good or  a bad person.

The two qualities I would like to develop are -

Being proactive and making the best use of each and every opportunity I get ( for example- speaker at silver oaks , word craft )

Reducing my anger and being patient enough .

I will always try to follow all the policies and practices of our school so that I can realise what is wrong and what is right and always lead myself to the right direction ignoring all my obstacles.

                       MY PASSION

When I strongly question myself on what my passion is, I turn to come with an answer of 'Nothing'. Yes, I have no particular passion in my life for now. I don't want to set huge goals for me right now when I don't even know whether I can fulfil them or not. I feel there is no point in dreaming about my future when I know nothing about life. Even if I dream right now, I think these goals will always remain as my dreams which can never come true. Image result for a girl dreaming about her future

So my only passion and my only goal for now is to settle in life both economically and personally. And for that, I have to work hard and keep reminding myself about this small passion. I have to study well and make my parents feel that it is worth of me getting this expensive education. I have to always follow the right path and lead myself.

I strongly believe that this small passion of mine will surely help me succeed in life just the way I want. It always doesn't mean that we have to have a certain passion in order to succeed. I think differently which will never put me down. My way of reaching my goal might be different but my destination is same as yours. I always hope for the best by doing every small thing I can do but not by just thinking and not acting on them. My short term passion is what leads me to my lifelong passion which is to live a happy life.

So, this is Himasree signing off hoping that all is well and will be well for me and for you and for the entire human raise!!!

Would You Suggest The Book To Others : Yes

What Was The Book About : The book "The Day I Stopped Drinking Milk" written by Sudha Murthy is simply fascinating. The book consists of 23 life stories from here ans there which Sudha Murthy has come across in her life. Each story has taught me lot much which nobody else could. The stories made me realise what life is in reality and what astonishing lessons life has to reveal. All the stories are few incidents that we come across in our life. So each story gives us a suggestion on how to react to certain situations.

My Favourite Part Of The Book : Out of all 23 stories, the one I liked the most is " Life's Secret Lessons". In this story, Sudha Murthy told her 18 life lessons she has learnt through out her career. Her life lessons taught me the lessons that no book could ever teach me and no Internet site could show me. The lessons had made me realise how is the world outside. I now understood why people at the top are always lonely. I now understood what actually means to live life in its best way.

                        THE  CALL

Two years ago, I decided to move to Sydney to study and work there for about a year. I’ve always wanted to travel around the world, my biggest dream. The place where I really wanted to go since I was a child, was Australia. I did the arrangements to start a new and exciting life. My greatest adventure was about to start.

Three months later, I was already working at a restaurant.I lived with one of my best friends, Alice.

One day (Tuesday) she got home and it seemed like a good idea to relax a little bit and have a glass of juice while we talked. At that moment, my phone started ringing which I thought was weird because nobody used call me that late and the number on the screen was private.

-Hello?
-Caroline?
-Yeah, that's me, who's this?
-I'm Charles, we work together
Said the man on the phone and I immediately thought he was wrong because I knew every person's name at the restaurant.
-I don't remember I work with anyone called Charles.
-Oh, you don’t? But you surely remember that night together when I made you feel so good - he was saying all the nasty and dirty things I've never heard before in my life, I was confused and I thought that was the most awkward call I have ever hung up.

My friend asked me who was it and I told him; he said it was probably a joke and advised me not to worry about it.

I forgot about that weird guy and the following week was as normal as always until Tuesday.
The next week (on Tuesday) once again, I was at home checking my e-mail on my computer when I received the usual call. That day, when I saw "private number" I knew it was him, so I inhaled heavily and was determined to confront him.
-What the heck do you want? Stop calling me, I have no intentions of talking to you, leave me alone -
After I said that, he completely destroyed me.

He laughed very loudly and said "You looked gorgeous in red today" . I was in shock, I was wearing a red sweater that day and to know he was following me made me feel sick.

When Alice got home, I told her and she said: "well, it’s getting a bit serious but don't worry, it must be an idiot trying to scare you".

The following day when I finished work, I found myself really scared with the idea of walking to my flat. I called Alice and asked her to stay with me on the phone until I was safe inside the house. Fortunately, nothing happened, nevertheless, I laid on my bed thinking that that guy was seriously playing with my mind and I didn't know what to do.

But something unusual happened, when I was about to watch a movie, Charles called me. I didn't want to answer but he was being so annoying I had no choice.
-What do you want?
-Can you open the door, please? -
 I laughed ironically.
-You don't know where I live.
After I said that, for the first time he cut the phone himself...........

Dear Pakistan,

It has been 69 long years. Can you imagine that? That long since people started calling us by different names.
For a second back then I'd thought, what's in a name and a mere line painted between us?! But then it turned out to be much more than what I thought it would be. Call it the biggest fight we've ever had as siblings, but maybe it was time we started being on our own.

You know as well as I do that things aren't as bad as it used to be. But let's look at the brighter side; we're moving on and building up an identity of our own, aren't we? Just like you have your problems to deal with, I have mine. And uhhm...let's not talk about how well we're doing that though.

Image result for a rose with thornsFor so long people were  stubborn about focusing on our differences, but they overlooked our similarities. So for today, let's remember that we're made of the same blood and skin, and let's dive in the glory of our bond. I know that many have a false impression about you, and to them I would like to quote something I heard that really touched my heart - 'to not judge a rose by its thorns.'

Image result for the line between india and pakistanYes we're different but still one and the same. Birds of a feather, or flowers of a plant? Call it whatever. That line painted between us is a merging point rather than a separation. It is where we meet and not separate. You know that we make a great team. And  to think of it, we're still young and only learning to deal with our inhabitants and their ways. 69 years may seem like a lot to them, but you know better than me how hard it is to control these folk.

Nevertheless, do remember that I'll be always right here watching over you, as a sister ought to be doing. And in the coming decades I greatly hope that our bond only strengthens... how thin it might seem now.

Wishing you centuries and centuries of happiness and good will. And yeah, have a splendidly super duper future!

                          SURPRISE!!!
Image result for images of christmas surprises

It was Christmas eve. All houses down the lane were decorated with X'mas lights in their balconies. One couldn’t see many Christmas trees around here, as Christians were scarce in the locality. In one of these homes was a little girl who found the absence of Christmas trees and Santa Clause making her feel deeply upset.
She wished for a Christmas like they showed in the movies; with all the gifts and surprises, get-togethers and decorations! She sure couldn’t do it all on her own. But she knew she at least had to try.

So here she was, peeping out of the window to make sure her family wasn’t back from work yet. Rushing back to the bedroom, she sat sewing tiny sponge pieces into cones to make a tiny Christmas tree. She had all of half an hour every day to secretly make the gifts; when no one else was home. She tried not to spoil the surprise but  now should she actually do that?
Image result for images of christmas tree made of paperIt was almost done by Christmas eve; she got ready for the eve with a three layered thermocol Christmas cake for her mom, a snowman made of tissue paper for her dad, and that sponge Christmas tree for her sister.  A neat drawing, as she liked to believe, of Santa’s face was to be her mask. She’d also gotten a red top, red pant and a red belt ready to become a Santa. All that was left was to get a bag to tuck in the gifts and a tummy for Santa. That evening she tried stuffing every pillow in the house under her top. But unfortunately, all pillows were the size of her own body and just wouldn’t stay. Much to her surprise, the tummy idea had to be cancelled.

Finally, the day arrived. All set, she waited for her family to end up to be together in the living room, which proved to be  the most difficult task. But anyhow, she ended up dragging everyone into the same place in the name of  ‘something’ she couldn’t tell them. So much for a small surprise!

Image result for images of santa clausKeeping them put, she rushed ‘backstage’ to the bedroom and got dressed up in a moment. And off she went with a sweet and gentle ‘Ha ha ha!’ which resembled non other than the laugh of a Santa. And surprised they were! She could even say that they were very pleased too to see that. For which they made her go back and come again so that they could shoot a video of it and remember it forever.....

Years later, she sat watching the video of  the Christmas eve once upon a time. Oh, the things they did as kids. She’d forgotten the last time she’d given such a surprise to her family. Had life kept her so very busy since then? Talking about resolutions and goals by the year end, now she had hers too. Pulling out her diary, she wrote it down,

“This holiday season I promise to give a surprise to my family.”

After reading this short and sweet story, even we all will plan something new, a gift wrapped with love and emotions!!!Image result for images of christmas gift

                                             THE SCHOOL BOY

This is a story on a complaining school boy with his routine bag creeping like a snail unwilling to school in the shining mornings..
Image result for images of a boy sleeping with alarm

It was six in the morning, and as usual his ears failed to register the sound of the alarm. His senses in the morning only responded to his mother's yell from the kitchen.

"Five...more...minutes" he murmured, not conscious enough to know that no one would hear him. And then, just as his mother appeared to beat the sleep out of him, his eyes popped open and he sprang out the bed like magic.

Furiously brushing his teeth, he silently wished yet again that there would be an unexpected holiday in school. He promised to god that he'll definitely complete Miss Sarita's homework then, but he was only in want of time. It's just that he simply couldn't have missed  that Pokemon episode. He'd meant to do the work later on but had fallen asleep. That wasn't his fault, was it?

Another scream from the kitchen broke his train of thought as he rushed back into his room to wear his school uniform. He had five minutes to pack his bag, find a pair of matching socks, polish his shoes and have his food before the school bus arrived. It always seemed impossible to him, but every time his mom came to the rescue and got all things done for him in a moment, sadly never leaving him an opportunity to miss his school bus.

As he stood all groomed up at the door waiting for the bus, he still had the tiniest ray of hope for the bus to break down midway and not show up. Unfortunately, he never did have that good luck. He watched with a sigh as the bus horn its way through to him, all perfect and working. But his spirits returned to him once he noticed his friends smiling at him through the windows.

Who cared about Miss Sarita or her homework after all?! He had his friends to meet in school, and plenty of fun to have. Surely, he couldn't miss that for anything!
